William Asher, Jr b. 1757, m Margaret (Peggy) Blevins, sister of Dillion Blevins and a descendent of the Blevins family who came from Pittsylvania County, Pa. to East Tennessee near Bean station. Will Blevins was among the 'LongHunters' who came hunting into what was later to become the state of Ky. As early as 1764, he hunted on the Rockcastle River, near where what is now Crab Orchard. William Asher Jr. drowned while hunting deer near Bean station abt the year 1792. He was b in 1757 to William Asher Sr., who also moved to E. Tn from Pittsylvania County, Va. There is a tradition handed down in the Asher family that three of Wm. & Sally Asher's sons John, Dillion & Josiah & two sisters came to Ky. with an Uncle by name of Blevins, not long aft. their father drowned. John returned to Tn. He d in Anderson Co. Tn in June 1835. A son John, Dillion Asher II returned to Ky settled on the Middle Fork of the Ky River in what is now Leslie Co. Dillion Asher I settled in Clay Co. and Josiah settled in Bourbon Co. Ky. it is beleived by some that a brother, Robert came along with them and settled in Fayette Co. Ky. Dillion Asher I son of Wm & Sally Blevins Asher married 1st Nancy (Mary) Davis, 2nd sister Sarah (Sally) Davis, dau. of Richard & Elizabeth Preston Davis. Dillion I lived near Pineville, Ky, soon aft coming to Ky. was keeper of the toll gate which was estab. near Pineville in 1795. Later Dillion I moved near the head of Red Bird River, where he raise a large family. According to a historical marker nearby, the long cabin was built before 1800. Marie and her brother Sherwood were born to Sydney Chapman and his wife Esther Louise (Rowe) Chapman. After Sydney and Esther divorced, Irvin Preston Turner and Minnie (Rowe) Turner (sister of Esther) changed the last names of Marie and Sherwood to Turner and raised them. Sizemore-families. In the library in Cherokee-tow n in North-Carolina w e found on microfilms the  Guion Miller Roll  Applicants Not Admited of Sizemore s admited, who registered before I907. All the originals are in Washington D.C. I can red in all letters in the microfilm s, that they registerd. Now my question s: How I can work through the internet to become copies from theese documents? I worked a big family-tree with a graficprogram on my computer (format .ged). Wen you want this, I can mail it to you. But I think, it cannot be enough, I would have more informations and maybe a privat-contact to other people of Sizemore. I read one article over George Sizemore  Man w ho fathered more than 50 children to be honored from june 8,I999. I found it on the local-side in the new spaper  Daily Independent , Salyersville, Ashland, Kentucky. I don t know , if you are the right person s to answer me, but I want to get in touch with any people, they have to do with the monument, as Todd Preston from Magoffin County Historical Society, But Breston, Magoffin County School Superindendent Henry Clay Sizemore and the other Sizemore s you are writing about all this people in your newspaper-article. I think, Miss Connie Arnett Wireman can tell me more anythings about the Sizemore-family-tree. In search of my Indian-ancestor s in the internet I found very interesting informations. First I am interesting about the name Sizemore, where is the originate and how is the combination to the Cherokee?
