Why is my Vaporizer not Making Steam? postarticles.org/why-my-vaporizer-making-steam Several types of vaporizers exist depending on the purpose they serve. However, all vaporizer work on the same concept which is to heat a substance such as water and create steam or vapor. The two common types of vaporizers are: 1. Steam vaporizers or warm mist humidifiers 2. Vaporizer for nicotine and cannabis concentrates 3. Cool mist humidifiers Both steam vaporizers and cool mist humidifiers help increase the humidity levels in a room for a wide range of benefits. However, cool mist humidifiers release cool mist into the air while steam vaporizers release steam or warm vapor into the air. Therefore the best portable vaporizers for steam not only increase the humidity levels in your room but also warm your room. How do vaporizers work? Both steam vaporizers and vaporizers for nicotine/ cannabis concentrates use electricity to power a heating element/ coil. Warm mist humidifiers heat water to create steam. The devices cool down the steam to the optimal temperature before releasing it into the air. 1/3 Cannabis/ nicotine vaporizers feature a battery, a heating element, and a mouthpiece. When you activate their batteries, the heating element will heat up to a certain temperature. It will in turn vaporize the concentrates and produce vapor that the user inhales through the mouthpiece. Most of these vaporizers also have a cooling mechanism for the vapor before the user draws any hits. Most cool mist humidifiers utilize ultrasonic vibrations to release a cool mist into the air from cold water. Also, some cool mist humidifiers use a disk submerged in the device so that it turns rapidly. As it rotates, it breaks the water into small tiny particles that are released into the air. Reasons why your vaporizer is not making steam. Usually, the cause of steam vaporizers and cool mist humidifiers not creating any steam is improper or insufficient cleaning. Steam vaporizers usually build up mineral deposits on their heating elements after prolonged usage. As the build-up of mineral deposits increases, chances are that the vaporizer may stop making any steam. Cannabis and nicotine vaporizer may stop making any vapor due to several reasons, that include: 1. Clogging of the vaporizer’s cartridge/ chamber (Cannabis and nicotine vaporizers are used for vaping e-liquids of different viscosities. The higher the viscosity the more the likelihood of your vaporizer cartridge blocking) 2. A dead coil (usually, coils in cannabis and nicotine vaporizer die out after using them for a certain period. The life of the coil depends on the type of user. Casual vaporizer users are more likely to get more coil life than heavy users). 3. A dead battery (a cannabis vaporizer can not work when the battery is dead. You need to recharge it). How to fix a vaporizer that is not making any steam If your steam vaporizer is powered on and it does not make any steam, you should first unplug it from the wall socket. Otherwise, water and electricity combinations can create a disaster. Secondly, you should drain the humidifier’s water reservoir. You should then try carefully chipping off the mineral crust that may have built upon the device’s coil. On the other hand, if a cannabis and nicotine concentrate-vaporizer has enough charge and it is not working, you should first check if it is clogged. The first sign of a clog is when you take a hit, the device’s light goes on but there is no airflow. If the device is clogged, you can try unclogging it by gently blowing some air into the device’s mouthpiece or use a toothpick/ needle On the other hand, if the vaporizer clears is not clogged but is not making any vaporizer, you should check whether the coil or atomizer is working. When you activate the device’s battery, you should feel some heat coming off the coil. A coil that is dead or is fractured should be replaced. 2/3 Conclusion You should try cleaning your vaporizer more regularly as it will ensure it performs excellently always. The vaporizers used for vaping concentrates with high viscosity should get cleaned after each use. Fortunately, you can obtain disposable vaporizers that require no cleaning nor much maintenance. They are meant to get disposed of after use, but they exist for particular types of E-liquids/ dab pen juices such as CBD. Steam vaporizers are known to offer a range of medical benefits but you should always consult a medical expert before using them. The same guideline applies to vaporizers meant for vaping medical cannabis. 3/3
